The Dietetic Internship can be completed full-time or part-time. The program begins in late August. Course requirements are GEN 502, NED 641, 645, 655, 659, 662, 663 and 664 (24 credits). GEN 502, NED 641, 645 and 655 can be completed prior to acceptance into the internship or concurrently.
The Internship includes 1,200 hours of supervised practice in clinical, food service, and community rotations. Following the successful completion of the supervised practice portion of the Internship, students will receive a verification statement confirming their eligibility to sit for the registration examination for dietitians (R.D.) and their names will be submitted to the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) for eligibility for the RD examination. Students may continue to enroll full- or part-time to complete the master’s program.
