Leadership, no longer the sole privilege of top executives, is now the responsibility of everyone--at all levels and in all organizations.

The MA in Organization Leadership integrates a broad curriculum in human and business aspects of organizations. Students develop leadership skills enabling them to be more effective in the management of themselves and others within the context of their duties and responsibilities.

Core classes focus students on relating effectively with others, understanding the adult within the context of the organization and critically evaluating and generating action research essential to the growth of their organization.

Leadership concentration courses cover both the “people” and the “business” elements natural to organizations including leadership, planning, finance, organizational processes, conflict, teams and technology. Specialization courses further refine skills in particular contexts.

The Department houses two specializations

  • Organizational Effectiveness
  • Health Care Services
