This program integrates your academic experience at Immaculata with the medical and dietetic expertise of local health care facilities. The supervised practice component addresses the evolving nature of the field, preparing you to translate theories of nutrition science, and helping you develop strong entry-level dietetic skills.
Immaculata's Dietetic Internship is currently granted accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60606-6995, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
After successfully completing the Dietetic Internship, you are eligible to take the national registration exam to be a registered dietitian (R.D.), the internationally recognized credential for food and nutrition professionals. Learn more about the steps to become an R.D.
