Student Eligibility

You are here

There are two student employment programs available at Immaculata University: Federal Work-Study and Institutional Student Employment.  Although there are finer differences in eligibility for each program, any student who satisfies the five criteria listed below will be eligible for a student employment award. Once eligibility is determined, students will have to complete all required employment documentation before they may start working.
  • Students must have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Students must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.0.
  • Students must be enrolled full-time, twelve credits for an undergraduate student, nine credits for a graduate student.
  • Students must have completed all financial aid documentation. You may view any outstanding requirements by logging on to MyIU and clicking on SSIU (Self-Service IU) to view your account.
  • Students may not exceed maximum aid allowed.
  • The federal government does not allow you to be awarded aid (scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study) greater then your cost of attendance. In the event your student employment award would cause you to exceed the maximum aid allowed, you may reduce your loan amount to open your eligibility for student employment. If you choose this option, you will need to notify the Office of Financial Aid in writing. The Office of Financial Aid will never reduce scholarships or grants to create eligibility for a student employment award.
